Warsaw Business Journal is Poland's leading English-language business magazine; focusing on key trends and topics relating to the country’s business landscape, we provide unique insights and conduct interviews with the top leaders across several sectors including, but not limited to, private and corporate business and real estate (logistics, residential, commercial, retail). We deep dive into economic data and share expert opinions about the macro and micro factors impacting the domestic market. Moreover, we cover subjects such as tech innovation, politics, and law. We are diverse in our output with our lifestyle section lending a cultural balance to the magazine.
The Role
We are looking for a talented and creative person with an understanding of business, Polish culture and current events. Knowledge of Poland’s business market is essential. In this position, you will work directly with our Art Director to produce a magazine that C-suite business leaders rely on to get the information they need to grow their companies. This is a remote position that entails firm deadlines and regular alignment meetings. A flexible schedule is needed to allow for editing time and the timely turnaround of content. Deadlines are set each month with content produced over the course of the month before production week.
Job Description
- Proofing documents and texts (reviewing for spelling errors, punctuation errors, typos and the incorrect use of regional English)
- Editing documents/texts to improve their flow and overall quality
- Editing advertorial copy
- Proofing magazine PDFs ahead of printing
- This is a remote position for a magazine published seasonally, about 7x/year, demanding 25-30 hours of time two weeks prior to the printing of each issue
