Valkea Marketing Agency presents the new issue of “Aktivist” featuring Maryla Rodowicz in a new light

Valkea Marketing Agency, publisher of “Aktivist” magazine, presents the latest print edition of the iconic urban title. This issue is dedicated to change, courage and people who do not wait for the right moment, but create it themselves. A key element of the project is a unique photoshoot and interview with Maryla Rodowicz, with the creative concept, art direction and full execution handled by the team of the Warsaw-based creative agency Valkea.

For more than 25 years, “Aktivist” has been shaping the urban scene. Following last year’s return to print, we are presenting another print edition — an issue about people who do not wait for the right moment, but create it themselves.

The face of the latest issue and its cover star is Maryla Rodowicz — an iconic artist, who, after more than five decades on stage, continues to redefine herself and her work. In the latest issue of “Aktivist”, we show her in a way she has never been seen before: without costume or stage armour. Natural, real and sincere. Valkea Creative Agency developed the full concept for the shoot: from the creative idea, through the visual and narrative direction, to the production and final execution of the cover story.

In an exclusive interview for “Aktivist”, Maryla Rodowicz talks about working with a young generation of creators, the courage to start over and why stagnation is her greatest enemy.

The magazine features a little of what is well known and a lot of what is just gaining momentum. Iconic names mix with fresh energy, while all the people featured in the issue have one thing in common – they follow their own path. Margaret talks about redefining success and living on her own terms, Pola Dwurnik discusses authenticity in the world of algorithms, and Asia Typek speaks about documenting people and emotions beyond Instagram aesthetics.

– We wanted to create an issue about courage that is not spectacular, but everyday. About decisions that may look like risk from the outside, but for the people featured in the issue are the only possible path. This edition is about freedom – professional, creative and deeply personal, says Ewa Dziduch-Piasecka, creative director of “Aktivist”.

Katarzyna Straszewicz, a journalist and author previously associated with “Vogue Polska”, has taken over as editor-in-chief of the magazine. Her joining the team strengthens the direction that “Aktivist” has been consistently developing for years – capturing people, places, phenomena and trends, while creating high-quality content marketing for discerning audiences.

The new issue of “Aktivist” demonstrates how Valkea, as a 360° marketing agency, combines publishing, creative and production expertise, distinguishing it from other agencies on the market. The photoshoot and cover featuring Maryla Rodowicz in a new, natural light, produced by the “Aktivist” and Valkea teams, have resonated across industry and lifestyle media, including Onet Plejada.

“Aktivist” is available through free distribution in clubs, cafés and iconic locations across Warsaw, as well as at selected events, conferences and festivals.
